PickVidsubuntu 3D Desktop (Cube) (KDE & Compiz Fusion & CairoDock) fullHD 1080p
compiz and its 3D burning cubes and other mostly (but not entirely) useless eye candy
A short screen recording of an Ubuntu Karmic Koala desktop running KDE4 with Compiz Fusion 3D cube effects and CairoDock. HN cites it as an example of 3D desktop eye candy that was famous and popular, and of how effects can be overdone.
