I learned my reality is a joke like the 1960's the prisoner.

The opening credit sequence of the 1960s British spy series The Prisoner, with Patrick McGoohan. It is a short intro to a cult TV show. HN commenters mostly reference it as shorthand for a reality that feels like a trap, often alongside The Truman Show, rather than recommending it.
