PickVidsArcologies
Isaac Arthur's YouTube channel is full of speculation and plans for all kinds of possible or nearly-possible futures
An Isaac Arthur episode on arcologies, self-sufficient habitats that could house whole cities, on Earth or on harsh worlds. It covers how such structures might work and what limits their size. HN commenters point to it in population and megacity discussions, mainly for its estimates of how many people arcologies could support and the heat, power and elevator bottlenecks.
